ROD 420 Incremental encoders are coupled to the drive or the spindle via a separate rotor coupling. Axial motion and misalignment (radial and angular offset) between the encoder shaft and the drive shaft are compensated by the coupling. The ROD 420 has a clamping flange for mounting.
