This is a SIEMENS 6FX2001-8AE03 spindle sensor belonging to the SIZAG 2 range of hollow shaft measuring systems and the SIMODRIVE system. The hollow shaft measuring system is composed of a SIEMENS 6FX2001-8AE03 sensor head and a toothed wheel for use on SIEMENS 1PH2 and 1FE1 type motors. The toothed wheels are available in 256 teeth and 512 teeth versions. The SIEMENS 6FX2001-8AE03 sensor head of the toothed wheel contains a magneto-resistance for contactless data-reading.

The SIEMENS 6FX2001-8AE03 encoder is assembled using a spacer gauge and connects through its specific connector at the end of its 60cm cable.
